Look! Up in the sky! Is it a bird? A plane? No, it’s a Revenue Execution Hero!
Invoca’s new “Revenue Execution Heroes” program gives our customers a platform to highlight their successes with our technology. It also has perks like personal branding opportunities, VIP invites to regional events, access to private beta programs, and more.
As part of the program, we’re putting a spotlight on our most inspiring heroes. Today’s featured hero is Tim Mogler, a senior account manager in the insurance industry.
Check out our Q&A with Tim below, where he shares predictions for the future of marketing, frequent mistakes he sees marketers making, and advice for young marketers.
I got my start in marketing when I owned my own company. I was the third generation in our family business, so marketing and selling were in my blood.
With a broad background in marketing, I decided to expand my reach and received a degree in web technologies. At that time the Internet was a new world with so many possibilities. I feel the mix of the tech and marketing has helped me better understand the possibilities for marketing campaigns. It has also improved my ability to analyze data and results.
Being a business owner taught the importance of taking care of your customers and earning their lifelong loyalty. In addition, marketing for banks, credit unions, and insurance companies has given me insights into the complexities of the buyer journey. In these industries, consumers have to do a lot of research and comparison shopping to find the service offering that’s right for them.
These lessons have driven me to create better consumer experiences that help people easily find the right product or service to meet their needs.
I love barbecuing, photography, golf, and gardening. I love that, unlike my work, these hobbies are non-technical, which helps me relax. Nothing helps me decompress quite like enjoying the fruits of my green thumb.
As AI continues to advance, I think it will help us better connect consumers to products. It will be able to understand purchasing habits, allowing companies to personalize buying experiences on a deeper level.
Companies of the future must be able to create dynamic campaigns to react to calls, emails, or texts 24/7. Your doors should always be open to respond to consumer questions and help them make buying decisions.
One of the biggest mistakes marketers can make is not taking time to listen to your customers’ wants and needs. A great deal of time, energy, and marketing funds are wasted when you don’t understand your audience.
To better understand and serve your customers, you should expand your channel reach to include technologies you’re not using today, if possible.
Never stop learning and never stop asking questions. If you can find a mentor, this can be extremely helpful — it will give you a chance to soak up all the wisdom they’ve learned during their long careers.
